In a medium sized bowl, melt together the syrup, sugar, and Add in the cornflakes and mix together. Pour the mixture over the jam and return to the oven for an addition.

  5. Place trays into the oven gas mark 4, (180 C). Allow them to bake for approximately 10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. In the meantime melt 50g butter and 20g sugar into a pan. Then add the corn flakes and the golden syrup and mix slowly so all flakes are coated.
  7. Take the tray out of the oven and add one spoonful of jam to each circle. Add a layer of cornflakes on top of the jam on some if you wish. Then put the tray back into the oven for another 10 minutes.
  8. Remove the tray and them to cool before serving. Best served with vanilla custard, enjoy ;)
