- Spoon mixture into pie dish and cover with pastry. Use a knife/fork to peirce holes in pastry. Brush with egg and cook in oven until golden.
Line a pie dish with a piece of baking paper. Place the bacon, herbs and cheese into the prepared pie dish. Pour over the milk mixture and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Serve warm with a green salad. This was great - the best chicken (yes I know it's a vegetarian recipe) pot pie I've ever made.
